Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: 18 Weeks Postpartum
1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)
Starting weight: 149 (Down from 168 the day before I gave birth to Baby G.)
Goal Weight: 125
Last Week's Weight: 149 (I think?)
Current Weight: 147
Starting BMI: 27.2
Goal BMI: 22.9
Last Week's BMI: 27.2
Current BMI: 26.9
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.
Progress on last week's activities:
I've been walking down the stairs whenever I leave work or have to use the 2nd floor bathroom. I read somewhere that walking down stairs works your thighs (?) so that my motivation.
Home cooked meals really didn't happen as Hubby and I were apartment hunting all last week, and getting paperwork to the leasing office this week. Today we are eating our first home cooked dinner. It's only spaghetti, but I'm happy not to be eating out.
Activities for this coming week:
1. Walk down the stairs instead of using elevator after work.
2. Eat a home cooked meal 3 times this week.
3. Snack on veggies and fruit instead of cookies and brownies.
4. Drink at least 8oz of water each after each nursing/pumping session.
5. Pole class 1 time this week.
4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I've tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.
Once again I missed last week. I think I was still 149. Because I'm OCD like this, I weigh myself almost every day. I've noticed I've been anywhere between 147-149 instead of 149/150, which is exciting!
This morning I weight myself and I was 146. I couldn't believe it so I weight myself again after my shower. I was 147 exactly that time. Sometimes my weight changes based on how I stand on the scale and I decided to stick with 147 since I've seen that number a lot in the last couple of weeks.
Last week I was on my online pregnancy group board and read an entry that said exclusively breastfeeding moms tend to see another bout of weight loss starting the 4 month mark? Is this true? It could explain why I've lost a couple pounds. I kind of wish it would shed the way it did two weeks postpartum (I lost 20 pounds in a week and a half y'all! It was crazy!), but I doubt I'll see that kind of magic happen again.

Sounds like you are on a steady slope of weight loss. Good for you! I know exactly what you mean about the big loss early on!! I was the exact same way then I've just been stuck around the same weight for months now. So frustrating. I hope there is another big bout of weight loss to come in month 7 for me! ;) Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteGreat job in losing again, especially with the busy things you have going on right now!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice when the scale starts vacillating around lower numbers for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteNo 4 month drop for me, but good for you!
