Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: 20 Weeks Postpartum

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)

Starting weight: 149 (Down from 168 the day before I gave birth to Baby G.)
Goal Weight: 125
Last Week's Weight: 148
Current Weight: 147
Starting BMI: 27.2
Goal BMI: 22.9
Last Week's BMI: 27.1
Current BMI: 26.9

2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.

Progress on last week's activities:
I'm still walking down the stairs whenever I leave work or have to use the 2nd floor bathroom.

Still trying to get better at drinking water. I think I have a caffeine addiction now. I have one cup of coffee in the morning and get so busy with my day I don't think about how thirsty I am until bedtime. No good!

Activities for this coming week:
1. Walk down the stairs instead of using elevator after work.
2. Eat a home cooked meal 3 times this week.
3. Snack on veggies and fruit instead of cookies and brownies.
4. Drink at least 8oz of water each after each nursing/pumping session.
5. Pole class 1 time this week.

4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I've tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

Sorry this is a day late! We just got our internet hooked up at the apartment today. Yay! My numbers are from yesterday.

I don't know how I lost a pound from last week. With the move I was eating fast food (still am since we haven't been able to go grocery shopping) and an embarrassingly large amount of food we had in the fridge and freezer. Work's monthly pot luck lunch happened and I ate an entire (large) loaf of French baguette, almost in one sitting. Maybe it was a combination of walking down stairs at work and class. I didn't do much lifting and carrying during the move; I mostly packed and cleaned.

I went to class and made sure I moved for the majority of the hour I was there. That is a challenge because I have to keep it to the basic spins we've learned in our level or below. You have no idea how bad I want to do a flying body spiral or see if I can still invert on the pole! I guess I could, but I don't want the other students thinking they can try things they aren't ready for (and if I'm honest with myself, my body isn't ready to try those things again either). I was able to register for another session (yay!) so there will be additional spins and moves I can practice during our open gym portion of class.
