Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: 8 Weeks Postpartum
1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)
Starting weight: 149 (Down from 168 the day before I gave birth to Baby G.)
Goal Weight: 125
Last Week's Weight: 148
Current Weight: 148
Starting BMI: 27.2
Goal BMI: 22.9
Last Week's BMI: 27.1
Current BMI: 27.1
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.
Progress on last week's activities:
* I went for 3 walks.
* We ate dinner at home every day last week!
* The friends who have brought me dinner in the past week have also felt compelled to bring dessert. There have been lots of brownies, cake, and chocolate. Wonderful for my taste buds, but not so much for my energy levels.
* I've still slacked on the water. I think I just get so wrapped up in Baby G that I don't think about it.
* I went to yoga.
Activities for this coming week:
1. Twenty minute walk 2 times this week.
2. Eat a home cooked meal 3 times this week.
3. Snack on veggies and fruit instead of cookies and brownies.
4. Drink at least 8oz of water each after each nursing/pumping session.
5. Take the stairs at work 2 times this week.
4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I've tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.
Today is my first day back at work. I'm armed with fairly healthy snacks and a 32oz bottle of water (which I am sipping on every time I look at it). The only thing about returning to work is that I'll have time for breakfast and lunch. I won't have an excuse to skip either of those meals now and I'm pretty excited about it.

Eating small meals throughout the day is so impt- that's great that you'll have more time to fuel your body with healthy food now!
ReplyDeleteAlso - I try to drink a glass of water WHILE nursing (or pumping). I fill it up before i sit down, and it has to be gone by the time I stand up again. Do that, and you'll easily up your water consumption!
20 lbs is nothing to slouch about. Good work and way to stick to it! -ICLW
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the weight loss!! It's definitely not easy. I've recently lost 40 pounds to get myself ready to TTC again. Sounds like you're doing great. :)
