Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: 6 Weeks Postpartum

It's time for the Weekly Weigh-In again! I got the green light to start exercising again. I'm so excited to ease back into some kind of routine involving exercising again. Even if it means only doing it once a week.

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)

Starting weight: 149 (Down from 168 the day before I gave birth to Baby G.)
Goal Weight: 125
Last Week's Weight: 150
Current Weight: 148

Starting BMI: 27.2
Goal BMI: 22.9
Last Week's BMI: 27.4
Current BMI: 27.1

2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.

Progress on last week's activities:
* I did 4 walks again this week!
* Thanks to a few of my friends who are bringing me meals this month, we were able to have four home cooked meals.

* I've been snacking on healthier things than cookies. I even talked myself out of buying a chocolate pastry every time I went for a walk.

* I've probably averaged about 50oz of water a day. Not my goal amount, BUT I have been drinking some water after feeding and pumping sessions. I have noticed I feel a lot better after quenching my thirst after each session.

Activities for this coming week:

1. Twenty minute walk 3 times this week.
2. Eat a home cooked meal 3 times this week.
3. Snack on veggies and fruit instead of cookies and brownies.
4. Drink at least 8oz of water each after each nursing/pumping session day.
5. Go to yoga 1 time this week.

4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I've tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

I don't know how healthy it is, but this is something I made a few nights ago:

Pop Chicken

1.5 lb chicken breasts
1 cup ketchup
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 can of your favorite soda (I used store brand Dr. Pepper)

Put everything in the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

So easy! Since it's just Hubby and I who eat "grown up" food right now, we had an extra chicken breast left over. I saved this with a little bit of the onions and sauce. The next day I shredded it, added some bar-b-que sauce, mixed it altogether, and heated it up in the microwave. It made a great bb-q chicken sandwich!
