Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: 11 Weeks Postpartum

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)

Starting weight: 149 (Down from 168 the day before I gave birth to Baby G.)
Goal Weight: 125
Last Week's Weight: 149
Current Weight: 148
Starting BMI: 27.2
Goal BMI: 22.9
Last Week's BMI: 27.2
Current BMI: 27.1
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.

Progress on last week's activities:
I did okay this week. Thanks to having Friday off, I was able to get two walks in!

Activities for this coming week:

1. Twenty minute walk 2 times this week.
2. Eat a home cooked meal 3 times this week.
3. Snack on veggies and fruit instead of cookies and brownies.
4. Drink at least 8oz of water each after each nursing/pumping session.

4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I've tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

THIS is my first official full week back at work (my summer schedule is all wonky; I'm working an hour later each day to get every other Friday off through mid-August), and let me tell you it sucks already :) I'm working on figuring out how to make things easier for me when I get home so I'm not trying to do five things at once AND still have time to play with Baby G AND take some time out for myself other than taking a shower and wondering if Baby G is crying or am I hearing things? That isn't relaxing.

Hopefully, once Hubby and I get our evening schedule worked out, I will have time to work out 2-3 times during the week.

  1. We have a little seat that suction cups to the floor of my shower so I can sit Stella in it while I shower (and then I suds her up once I'm clean). Kind of like this, though ours is even cheaper. http://www.overstock.com/Baby/BeBeLove-E-Zee-Baby-Bath-Ring/5971448/product.html?cid=123620
At least then you can enjoy your shower.

Definitely tap into your husband to get him to watch the baby so you have time to yourself though. As far as working out goes, we've been going on family walks almost even night recently - it gets me some exercise, gets Stella some fresh air, and gives her Dad and I time to talk about our days without the TV/cell phone interrupting us.

Good job on losing another pound!
